Not really when you read their What happens when Adsense ^TM doesn’t love you : follow up post. It’s quite simple: if you advertise for them, you have to make sure you follow their rules. And as the case study shows: it isn’t easy to apply the rules, nor do they explain the rules in detail.

And doesn’t that feel like a boss who one day loves you and the next day hates you, doesn’t give you a raise or fires you without any explanation at all?

So it is not that simple to say; I am working from home therefore I do what I want.

There are several ways though to optimize your Adsense Revenue:

• write more websites
• coming back to this website and read about Adsense tips
• write content "on topic": Adsense can only give relevant advertisements
  related to the words it finds in your text
• read selected upcoming articles about Adsense here: no need to surf
  the web, we will read Adsense articles for you and post the ones that are
  useful to gain more with Adsense
• be a knowledgeable writer in the so called "expensive keyword niches"

Once you sign up with Adsense, you will be provided with the so called Adsense code: this is a bit of html code (javascript to be exact) you copy and paste in your web pages.

If you don’t have a clue what html is nor javascript, then make sure you do know how to copy and paste, because that’s the only real action you have to undertake.

When visitors visit your web pages with Adsense, they don’t see the Adsense code, but in stead they will see advertisements that are related to the content of your web page.

Every time somebody clicks on a link from the advertisements, Adsense will pay you a few cents. But if your website talks about a so called "expensive keyword niche", Adsense could pay you a few dollars for each click.

Now don’t start digging for these niches if you are new in all this, that would be similar as looking for oil: you wouldn’t have a clue where to start!

Once you are making your first money with Adsense, then you have to fine-tune your writing or start digging for gold, oil that is…

You can go to the Adsense page at Google, or to the other advertising services mentioned above and sign up free.

After you sign up, you will be provided with "some html code" that you copy and paste in your website. (you can play around with the look and feel of the ads that will be shown on your website).

From that moment on Google does the rest and you are ready to earn money with Adsense.

Another reason is that I want advertisers to have a high ROI: meaning that I prefer to attract a lot of visitors first before showing lots of ads.

You could argue that I am loosing money like this, which is true, but as long as the loss is a few cents a day, I might as well use other ways of monetizing my blog in the mean time.

As usual: don’t put all your eggs in one basket!
