When you work at home, the boundaries between your "home" and your "business" could quite easily get entangled.

It’s up to you to separate your home from your job and these are the ways I do it:

  • it would be easy to have your own business room. Myself, I have only a small house so my desk is in my living room: yet it’s hidden away in a closet once I stop working.
  • make sure you divide your time "in advance" between work and business! Make a schedule that tells you and your friends and family when you are working and when you are free!

It’s quite easy when you have a laptop, that you take it with you in the sofa and before you know it you have been working all evening… Working "unlimited hours" is not only unproductive, it also deprives you from enjoying your family life or free time the fullest.
