Search engine optimization spiders: make them your friend!
Back to real SEO today after some Internet marketing in our previous SEO Step 6 posts .
Yes, you can piss of the search engine spiders. That’s exactly what happened to John Chow’s website: he doesn’t even rank high for his own name… Now that’s really hard to do, because in the end: it’s his blog and his name, so obviously he should be ranking number 1.
The more normal process of pissing of a spider goes like this:
Your website is ranked high but then the search engine visitors say:
what the … is this page ranking high for?
And poor spider gets the blame… Visitors start using another search engine on top of that…
Now that makes the incredible hard working engine spider venomous… and he will come back to bite you!
